Our Story
East Vic Park’s first Queer Bar
The ParQ Bar started with owners, Jim and Russell, who recognised the need for an LGBTQIA+ friendly space in East Victoria Park – and a small bar along the strip at that. This idea was taken to Venue Manager, Annalise, who took on the role in early January and helped shape the idea of the bar further. Annalise brought on Assistant Venue Manager, Bety, within the next few weeks, to help create this amazing space.
Together, this team created the vision for East Vic Park’s first Queer Bar – The ParQ Bar (hence the Q, still pronounced as Park).
This bar was created to provide a different kind of space for the Queer community; a small bar with incredible cocktails, mocktails, Gins, Tapas and something for every part of the community.
With a love for the spaces that the Court, Connections and even the new Flaming Galah have created for Perth, our team has built on Perth’s current Queer scene and tried to fill the gaps in-between. We think we’ve done a pretty great job, and we really hope you enjoy our little bar.
